Skipjacks Dominate Tidewater

Skipjacks Dominate Tidewater

Chesapeake College Men's Basketball team went out of region play and hosted Tidewater Community College (VA). Both teams come into the game with wins over the weekend.

The Skipjacks jumped out to a huge lead early in the game and never looked back after. Within the first fifteen minutes, Chesapeake was able to build a 22-point lead over the Storm. The Jacks' defensive pressure was able to force Tidewater to take tough shots and commit unforced turnovers, which allowed Chesapeake to get out in transition and score easy baskets. The Skipjacks were able to go into halftime with a 47-28 advantage.

Coming out after halftime, the Skipjacks continued to dominate the game on both sides of the floor and didn't allow Tidewater a chance to get back into the game. They continued to build the lead to a 30-point advantage, as the Jacks outscored Tidewater 51-31 in the second half, and went on to win the game 98-59.

Six players for Chesapeake scored in double figures in the win:  FR Cade Campbell (Silver Spring, MD/Springbrook) led the Jacks in scoring after finishing with 15 points and knocking down four three-pointers.
