Skipjacks take set from Cecil
On September 24th, in Wye Mills, MD, the Chesapeake College Skipjacks faced off against the Cecil College Seahawks in a hard-fought volleyball match. Despite the Skipjacks' strong effort, they ultimately fell to Cecil, though managed to take a set in a competitive contest.
The match featured some notable individual performances. Sacoya Williams led with 3 aces and contributed 4 kills, along with 2 blocks and 6 digs. Kendra Coffey added 6 kills, 2 blocks, and 14 digs, showcasing her all-around presence on the court. Iyona Brown chipped in with 10 digs and 1 ace, while Kaleigh Hammond impressed defensively with 10 blocks and added 4 kills to the team's total. Hammond also added 12 digs to her stat line. Gabrielle Kakabar contributed 3 blocks, and Sacoya Williams also recorded 2 blocks.
