Bio

Coach E.G. Staton enters his first year at Chesapeake College in 2026-2027 joining Coach Sachs’ staff.   His duties include player development, scouting and recruitment.

He has been involved with coaching and player development for 20 years at the AAU and high school levels.  His ascension into the collegiate ranks is the next step to further his community involvement and assist players striving to attain their dreams.

Coach Staton earned his BS in Business Administration from Longwood University, 2000.    

Staton is originally from Chesterfield County, VA. He has been on the Maryland Eastern Shore for 13 years.   He and his wife Amie have three children: Abigail, second year at Penn State University, Elias, a senior and Lucas a freshman at Kent Island High School.
